About Us
About N.H. Owens & Son Funeral Home
In 1912, Noble H. Owens Sr. had a vision of opening his own funeral home. His vision became a reality, and N. H. Owens and Son Funeral Home was established! He strongly wanted to serve the community in which he lived … Serving with Dignity, Compassion, and Excellence. He and his son, Nobel H. Owens, Jr., had a unified goal of creating a funeral home that was synonymous with professionalism, compassion and distinction.

Our History
Noble Jr. and his wife, E. Laura Owens, had two daughters, Cheryl and DeNobra Owens. After the death of Nobel Sr., Noble Jr. continued as a second-generation Funeral Director and Owner of the funeral home. In 1983, Noble H. Owens, Jr., passed, and Reginald Young, who worked with Noble Owens, Jr. as an apprentice, became the Operations Manager of the funeral home. Mr. Young worked at N. H. Owens & Son for 39 years until his death in May 2013. Upon his passing, Cheryl Owens, Licensed Funeral Director, stepped in with her mother and sister to continue serving the community. More than one hundred years later, the goal of … Serving with Dignity, Compassion and Excellence … has never changed. Cheryl L. Owens, Licensed Funeral Director and DeNobra Owens, Owners, continue to maintain the tradition of a family-owned, community-centered funeral home serving with the same dignity, compassion, and excellence as her grandfather and father intended. We are here to help you during a difficult time in your life.
Online Memorial
We can create a customized, online memorial for you to share with family and friends. The memorial includes the obituary and any photographs you wish to provide. It will serve as a place for visitors to post condolences, share memories, upload photos, and light candles in honor of your loved one.
Tribute Video
We can produce a personal tribute video that can be played at the service and online. Simply provide us with the photographs you want to include and we will transform them into a video celebration of your treasured memories. DVDs or USB thumb drives of the video are also available.
Ordering Flowers
We make it easy for friends and family to send flowers to your home or service to honor your loved one. We have partnered with local florists to offer the convenience of ordering directly from the obituary page of our website. You can also use this feature to select the flowers you would like at the service. This is a secure way to choose beautiful arrangements from the privacy and comfort of your home.
Sharing Service Details
We reduce the stress of contacting those who need the details of the service for your loved one. We post the dates and times of the service as part of the online memorial on our website. You can then either share the memorial on your Facebook or X page or copy the details from the site into an email or text. Both options give you the peace of mind that you have provided the necessary information to those who need it.
